A Legal Disclaimer

Humanologie is a DBA of Hollywoodsy Inc. We provide web design, branding, search strategy, content, social media, consulting, and related digital services.

By using this website or engaging Humanologie for services, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Services

Humanologie provides services that may include:

  • Website design and development

  • Branding and visual identity

  • SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy

  • Content and social media

  • Digital and AI strategy

  • Accessibility guidance

  • Consulting and technical support

All services are subject to the scope, pricing, timeline, and terms stated in the applicable proposal, invoice, or written agreement. If a project agreement conflicts with these Terms, the project agreement will control.

Project Scope and Revisions

Each project includes a defined scope of work. Revisions are limited to the number or type included in the selected service or project agreement.

Additional revisions, new concepts, content additions, design changes, or requests outside the agreed scope may require additional fees and an updated timeline. Humanologie reserves the right to determine whether a request falls outside the original scope.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide:

  • Accurate information about their organization and project

  • Required text, images, branding materials, and approvals

  • Access to relevant websites, domains, hosting, or third-party accounts

  • Timely feedback and communication

  • Materials they own or have permission to use

Humanologie is not responsible for delays caused by missing materials, delayed approvals, limited access, or lack of client communication.

Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all final content, claims, legal language, and deliverables before publication.

Payments

Payment terms are stated in each proposal or invoice. Terms may include:

  • A deposit before work begins

  • Progress payments during a project

  • A remaining balance before launch or final delivery

  • Recurring payments for ongoing services

  • Additional charges for work outside the agreed scope

Invoices are considered accepted when payment is submitted. Late or outstanding payments may delay delivery, pause services, or prevent a website from launching.

Refunds

Deposits and payments for completed custom services are generally non-refundable. Refund requests are governed by the Humanologie Refund Policy and any applicable written project agreement.

Intellectual Property

Final approved deliverables become the client’s property after all related invoices have been paid, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Humanologie retains ownership of unpaid work, drafts, rejected concepts, internal processes, working files, templates, tools, and materials created outside the client’s final deliverables.

Third-party fonts, photography, software, templates, plugins, and other licensed materials remain subject to their original license terms.

Humanologie may display completed work in its portfolio, case studies, social media, and marketing materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Third-Party Services

Projects may involve third-party services such as Wix, WordPress, Google, domain registrars, hosting providers, email platforms, payment processors, scheduling tools, plugins, and external software.

Humanologie is not responsible for third-party outages, errors, security incidents, account suspensions, pricing changes, policy changes, or service limitations.

Unless otherwise agreed, clients are responsible for maintaining their accounts and paying third-party subscriptions, licenses, hosting, domain, and platform fees.

Search, AI, and Marketing Results

Humanologie applies established practices and professional judgment, but does not guarantee:

  • Specific search engine or AI platform rankings

  • Inclusion in AI-generated answers

  • Traffic, leads, engagement, or sales

  • Approval by search engines or third-party platforms

  • Specific business or financial outcomes

Results may vary based on competition, market conditions, platform changes, client participation, website history, and other factors outside Humanologie’s control.

Website Use

You agree not to misuse this website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce harmful code, or use its content in violation of applicable law.

Unless otherwise stated, website content belongs to Humanologie or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or commercially used without written permission.

Disclaimer

Information provided on this website is general in nature and does not constitute legal, financial, medical, or other regulated professional advice.

The website and its content are provided without guarantees that access will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Humanologie and Hollywoodsy Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the website or services.

Humanologie’s total liability relating to a specific project will not exceed the amount paid to Humanologie for the service giving rise to the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

Humanologie may pause, refuse, or terminate services due to:

  • Nonpayment

  • Abusive or inappropriate communication

  • Repeated requests outside the agreed scope

  • Unlawful or unethical activity

  • Misuse of services or deliverables

  • Extended project inactivity

  • Failure to provide required materials or cooperation

Work completed through the termination date remains billable. Any refund eligibility will be determined under the Refund Policy and applicable project agreement.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to These Terms

Humanologie may update these Terms as its website, services, or business practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
